Arthur "Marvin" Young

On October 3, 1957 a handsome son was born to Evelyn Young and the late Freddie Chaplin. He was named Arthur Marvin Young. He was the second of five children. Arthur received his education at Beaufort High School and graduated in May 1975.
He was baptized at an early age at Orange Grove Baptist Church. He worked at the Sanders Packing House for numerous of years following R.H. Moore working at The Grayco Lumber until he became ill in 2009.
“Marvin” or “Ka-Lou” as he was affectionately called by family members and friends. Brother Arthur was a loving, caring, humble person with a big heart.
On Friday, November 9, 2018, with family and friends by his beside he answered the Masters’ call at his residence. 
Left to cherish his memories are: his loving mother, Evelyn “Tit” Young; two children, Damien Cohen and Lawanda “Tiny” Young; five sisters and one brother, Anna Bell Cuthbert, Verneda Green (Avalee), Bernice Dean, Freddie Mae Chaplin all of St. Helen Island, SC, Constance Chaplin of Valdosta, GA and Bernard Young of St. Helena Island, SC; four grandchildren, Ty’shaun Young, J’Naisia McKinnon, D’Naisia McKinnon and Damien Cohen, Jr.; aunt, Helen Johnson (Joseph) and Anna Belle Fripp; uncle, Harold Johnson; special cousins, Lucretia (Roger) Gray, Robert (Olanda) Frazier and Geneva (Eddie) Inabinett; godfather, George White; special friends include Otis Daise, Jr., Harold Green and Moses Cuthbert; to include a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
