Bernetha S. Daise

Bernetha S. Daise daughter of Lou Andrew S. Daise and Ben Johnson on February 3, 1928 on St. Helena Island, SC. She attended South Pine School in Frogmore, SC. 
She was a faithful member of the Orange Grove Baptist Church. She was a member of the Usher Board and the Ladies Union. She worked various places like Bay View and Hunting Island. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and planting flowers. 
On Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at her residence, Bernetha S. Daise entered into internal rest. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Daise and two daughters, Mildred D. Stevenson and Shirley Harris.
Bernetha Daise leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Lula Mae Hawking of NY and Annie Singleton (Robert) of St. Helena Island, SC; son, Herbert Daise (Annie Ruth) of St. Helena Island, SC; brothers, Otis Daise and Ben Johnson, Sr. (Ruthie), both of St. Helena Island, SC; sisters, Josephine Daise, Zeas (Rev. Arthur) Smalls, Albertha (Jeff) Johnson both of St. Helena Island, SC; step daughter, Geneva (Eddie) Inabinett of St. Helena Island, SC; 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 34 great great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
