Flora Mae Singleton

Floramae Singleton was born May 14, 1955 in Ridgeland, South Carolina to Edward Jenkins and Elease Singleton Wooten. She attended and graduated from Jasper County High School. 
Floramae moved to Philadelphia, PA she met Joe Hopkins and they were later joined in Holy Matrimony. He preceded her in death.
After living in Philadelphia for several years, Floramae relocated to Ridgeland, South Carolina and  began her Christian service at Second Euhaw (Grahamville) Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board.
In recent years, Floramae experienced some family disappointments, and illnesses that took a toll on her life, but she never gave up and always would say that “I am all right.”  Floramae was gifted with giving everyone a new name. Floramae enjoyed entertaining friends in her home.
On Tuesday, November 12, 2019, Floramae gained her wings at her home in Ridgeland, SC. In addition to her husband and grandparents, William Singleton, Sr. and Mary Lee Dupree Singleton that reared her. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Reverend Elizabeth Sears and Brendella Wooten and a grandson, Khalil Singleton.
Flora leaves to cherish her memories: sons, Kareem (Paulette) Singleton of Port Wentworth, GA, Rohaime Hopkins and Xavier Ferebee of Ridgeland, SC; daughter, Jacqui Singleton of Savannah, GA; adopted son, Reginald Lamar Dupree of Ridgeland, SC; step son, Maurice Hopkins of Philadelphia, PA; extended sons, Quentin Williams, LaTon Jenkins and Demetrius Chaneyfield all of Ridgeland, SC; five grandsons, five granddaughters, four great grandchildren; mother, Elease Wooten of Buffalo, NY; father, Edward (Gaynell) Jenkins of Ridgeland, SC; sisters, Renee Jenkins of Ridgeland, SC , Chuqueta (Mark) Johnson of Delaware and Leslie Jenkins of Newark, NJ; brothers, Fred Tyrone, Kyle and Dwayne Wooten all of Buffalo, NY, Edward (Rhonda) Jenkins of Linden, NJ, Kenneth Jenkins of Silver Springs, MD, Hassan Jenkins of Houston, TX; an uncle that she adored who assisted in her upbringing; Dr. William Singleton, Jr. (Betty) of Ridgeland, SC; uncles, Franklin (Dee) Jenkins of Ridgeland, SC, Michael (Mary) Jenkins of Philadelphia, PA; aunts, Virgie (David) Orage of Ridgeland, SC, Patricia Singleton, Philadelphia, PA, Micky (Benjamin) Warren of Charleston, SC, Emma Jean, Mary Jenkins of Ridgeland, SC and Mary Williams of Philadelphia, PA; great aunt, Mattie Jones; to include a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and longtime loyal and supportive family and friends: namely Tonya Singleton- Keys, Olla Mae Jenkins, Barbara Jean Smith.
