Fred Washington was born on September 17, 1960 to the late Victoria Washington and the late Jessie (Pickey) Holmes on St. Helena Island, SC . He received his formal education in the Beaufort County public school system.
He accepted the Lord at a early age and became a member of Scottville Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Morris J. Heyward.
When Fred reached manhood, he joined the US Armed Forces as an Army soldier. Upon his return home to Beaufort, SC, Fred was hired at Carolina Auto Trim as a upholsterer. This was a job which he loved and he worked there for 30 years.
His hobbies included driving trucks and spending time with his family, especially his mother.
Fred Washington leaves to cherish precious memories: his loving daughter, Tatyana Washington; her mother and special friend, Pamela Bryan; one grandson, Marqu’ Anthony Singleton; his mother, Victoria Washington; brothers Samuel Washington, John Washington, Joesphus (Vivian) Washington, Edward Germaine (Rumelle) Washington; sisters, Mary Lou (Solomon) Holmes of St Helena Island, SC and Barbara Washington; two aunts, Elizabeth Singleton and Essie (Henry) Jenkins; special cousins, Harold Middleton and Lyndon Washington; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. He also leaves to cherish his memories, special friends and coworkers Rubin, Aurby and Andy (Pam) Brown, who was like a brother, owner of Carolina Auto Trim who stuck with Fred through the end.
