Prince Grant, Sr.

Prince T. Grant, Sr., 90, of St. Augustine was was born December 2,1928 in Pritchardville, SC to the late Herman Grant Sr., and Sarah Givens.  He was born and raised in Pritchardville, SC and attended Beaufort County Schools. After working in Savannah, GA for a few years, and a short time on the SC railroad, he and his younger brother Leroy decided to move south. They moved to Florida in 1950 and became lifelong residents, both eventually settling in St. Augustine. 
His memory will be cherished by his devoted wife; Geneva, sons, Prince Grant, Jr. Gerald (Angie) Ford; daughters, Glenda Brown, Iris Tennison, Lynn (Isiah) Henry, Sherral (Ivory) Haywood, and a host of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Prince Grant, Sr., 90, a native of Bluffton, SC, died Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the Bailey Community Hospice Center in St. Augustine. Visitation will be held from 11 am - 1 pm on Monday, January 28, 2019, at St. Matthew Baptist Church in Hardeeville, SC. Burial will follow in the Rephaim Cemetery.
