Sammie L. Frasier, Jr. Obituary

Sammie Lee Frasier Jr., 67 of Walterboro, SC was born December 15, 1951.  He was born to the late Sammie Lee Sr. and Mammie Anna Richards Frasier.  He was one of 11 children.  Sammie entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 17, 2019.

Sammie was a well-respected husband, father, son, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, cousin and friend.  At an early age Sammie became a member of White Hall AME Church. He faithfully served unto the Lord in several capacities to include Choir member, Trustee, Sunday School Superintendent, Lay Organization Member, and the Organization President for a short time.  He was also a member of the Masonic Order. 

 He attended school in Colleton County and became employed with the South Carolina Department of Transportation until he retired after 27 years of dedicated service.  After retirement, Sammie enjoyed long walks and spending quality time with his wife of 25 years, grandchildren, family and friends.

 Sammie was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Washington Frasier, mother Mammie Anna Richards Frasier and father Sammie Lee Frasier Sr.

Sammie leaves behind to cherish his memories four loving children Nikeyia (Simeon) Hammonds of Walterboro, South Carolina, Antoni (Kimberly) Aiken of Augusta, Georgia, Linda Simmons of Charleston, South Carolina and Monica (Calvin) Frasier-Pringle of Beaufort, South Carolina. A stepmother Retha G. Frasier of Walterboro, South Carolina. One devoted brother, Elijah (Regina) Frasier. Nine sisters, Lou Ethel (William) Scott, Janie Mae Frasier, Henrietta Rivers, Alma Dubois, Mary Lee Lane, Rosa Mae Frasier, Gloria (Richard) Elbert, Sarah Frasier and Dannie Mae (David) James all of Green Pond, South Carolina.  Raised in the home as siblings Loutrica (John) Sanders of Green Pond, South Carolina and Roslyn (Harvey) Buckner of Walterboro, South Carolina.  Four sisters-in-law Marcella (Stanley) Brock, Marie Nuez, Geneva (Rufus) Guardian, Geraldine Roberts, six brothers-in-law, Minister Arnold (Gladiola) Holmes, Woodrow (Shondra) Holmes, Roosevelt Issac, Kenneth Issac, Alfred Lee Issac, and Bobby Dean Issac.  He leaves to cherish nine grandchildren, Andrew (La’Shalya), Ashlynn, Alexandria, Candence, AmaNi, Jonathan JR., Calvin JR., and Layla. One great granddaughter Nova, one loyal and devoted caregiver Rosa Major, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends who all share in sorrow over his passing.

 

Mr. Sammie L. Fraiser, Jr., 67 of Walterboro, SC died Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Pruitt Health Walterboro. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home Chapel in Walterboro, SC.  Funeral Services are Wednesday, July 24, 2019 11:00 AM at Saints Center Ministry  106 Colson St, Walterboro, SC 29488. Allen Funeral Home of Walterboro in charge.
