Abraham Jacob White, 79, of Ridgeland, SC passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by love ones on Monday, August 30, 2021. Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home of Ridgeland. We welcome you to provide your thoughts and memories on our tribute wall.
Mr. Abraham Jacob white the son of Deacon Phillip Henry White Sr. and Viola Gregory White was born May 24, 1942 in Ridgeland, SC. He attended Good Hope School and an early age he joined first Euhaw Baptist Church where he served on the usher board and the charity board.
He worked for Paul Brantley gas station. Later on Abraham moved to Richmond, VA. In 1958 while in Richmond he attended William Temple CME Church. He worked for Powell flooring Company for over 20 years. Later, he decided to moved back home and work for Wood Construction Company. After leaving the Construction Co. He began working for Bob and Rebecca until his health fail. He later moved back home and returned to First Euhaw Baptist Church, where he formed the First Euhaw Gospel Travelers singing group. He sung to the Glory of the Lord until he was diagnosed with throat cancer in 1979.
In the year 2003 he met and married the love of his life Ms. Jeanette Heyward.
On Thursday August 30, 2021 Abraham J White passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife Jeanette, and his adoring family. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mamie Lou Smith, two brothers Jerry White and Rev. Harold D. White.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories; his loving and devoted wife Jeanette White, one son Dennis Fripp (Jacquelyn), daughter Jakayla white, stepdaughter Kia Heyward, 6 grand children, 6 great-grand children, 3 god children; sisters, Ruthie White, Betty Johnson, Elouise Bolden (Jake), Ida Driessien (Jacob), Elmetta Whiterspoon (Herman) of Ridgeland, SC, Isabelle Smalls (Thomas) Winston Salem, NC. Reverend Euretta Brown of Hardeeville, SC Nieces, that were like sisters; Evangelist Mary Fyall, Cheryl White, Nellie Lee(Robert), Wilemeria Pinckney, Naomi Heyward. Two sisters in law Stephanie White and Ann Marie Mitchell (Benjamin); brothers; Solomon White (Agnes), Charles White, Richard White (Barbette) of Walkertown, NC Harvey White, Benjamin White, Cleve White (Cynthia), Reverend Elijah White (Sandra), of Ridgeland, SC, Reverend Phillip White (Carmen), Winston Salem, NC, Nephews that were like brothers Jerome White (Sarona) of Hardeeville, Ervin White (Lillie) of Fayettville, NC, Kenneth White (Markeia) of Virginia, and a host of nieces, nephew and friends.
