Deaconess Annette Singleton Smith, 62, of Ridgeland, SC passed away on December 23, 2022. She was the wife of Deacon Randolph Smith. services are pending Allen Funeral Home of Ridgeland is in charge. We welcome you to provide your thoughts and memories on our tribute wall.


Annette Janet Singleton-Smith daughter of the late Bessie and Johnnie Singleton was born on March 23, 1960, in Jasper County, South Carolina. She attended Jasper County High School and graduated in 1978 as a mighty Trojan. She then attended Talledega College and Mastered Psychology. In her early years, she became a member of the St. Luke Baptist Church and joined the St. Luke Choir where she sang her heart out gracefully. 
Deaconess Annette Smith was joined in Holy Matrimony to Deacon Randolph Smith in 1996. She was a caring Wife, Mother, Godmother, Niece, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Friend, and Church member. Deaconess Smith was known for being an intelligent, thorough, and hard-working person who took pride in any task put before her. In her early years, she worked at One-Stop, New Life Center, Callawassie Store, Jasper County School District, and other jobs where she impacted the lives of the people she encountered. Deaconess Annette Smith loved going to church, getting her nails done, watching westerns, and spending time with her family and friends. 
She departed this life on December 23, 2022, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort SC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her niece Anika Jenkins, Godmother Betty Garvin, Best friend Shannon Murphee, Uncles, Perry Lee Sr., Ernest “Fuzzy” Singleton, Junior “Sugie” Singleton, Lovie Singleton, Andy Singleton (Denise), Lester “Coonie” Singleton and great aunt Marion “Iya” Jenkins 
Left to cherish her unforgettable memories are her loving devoted Husband Deacon Randolph Smith of Ridgeland SC, her son Deanchalon Singleton (Raven Singleton) of Ridgeland SC, Her daughter Nateisha Smith Ridgeland SC, one stepdaughter Tamyra (Christopher Brown) of Yemassee SC, her three sisters Carolyn Jenkins (Nathaniel) of Columbus G.A., Marion “Hestell” Bolden of New York City, Janice “Elaine” Lee of Okatie SC, Aunts Regina Spann, Geneva Newton, Marie Lee, Elaine Bolden all of Okatie SC, one uncle Ernest Bolden of New York City, three nieces Myava Waring (Anthony), Tisa (Travis) Montgomery, and Nadia Jenkins, one goddaughter Lisa P. Riggan, two granddaughters Ameira and Jayda Singleton of Ridgeland SC, two grandson, Jayden and Nicholas of Yemassee SC, three brothers-in-law Robert Simmons (Yvonne), James Simmons, and Lorenzo Simmons (Pattie) all of Beaufort SC, one sister-in-law Deborah Simmons of Syracuse, New York, special brother Jimmy Bellamy of Ridgeland SC, second daughters Heaven Smalls of Yemassee SC, Andrea Poteat of Hinesville GA, and Alicia Hugue of Ridgeland SC, her "go-to hair duo" Lavenia Deveaux and Denise Smith both of Ridgeland SC, two special family friends Sheila Bowman, Cynthia Mills and Maryann Fripp along with a host of nieces, nephews, church family, other relatives, and friends.
