Apostle Willia Mae Youmans was born December 27, 1942 in Ridgeland, SC to the late Joe Nelson and Georgia Habersham Nelson.  Apostle Youmans made her journey into the Lord’s presence on December 7, 2020 while resting peacefully at home.  She attended public schools in Ridgeland, SC.  She attended college in Columbia, SC and Savannah, GA and obtained a degree in business.  She was joined in Holy Matrimony to Lennon Bernard Youmans, Sr. on April 29, 1965.  Through this union they had 2 children.

Though gifted with multiple talents that spanned many different areas, she took heed to the call of the Lord and pursued His work for her the majority of her life.  Through a bout with spinal issues and temporary paralysis, she came to know the Lord and dedicated her life to Him in the early 1960s while living in New York City.  After coming to the Lord, she was miraculously healed and was on fire for God.  With that burgeoning fire on the inside of her, she took up her cross and followed after Jesus without ever looking back.  She was groomed under the tutelage of her pastor and mentor, the late Ida Robinson of New York City.  In 1973, Apostle Youmans and her family left New York and moved back home to Ridgeland, SC.  Apostle Idell Cheever of Savannah, GA became a mentor and spiritual mother to her during this period.  In 1976, she founded Miracle Deliverance Tabernacle, Inc. which she pastored until she went home to be with the Lord.

Apostle Youmans was beloved and adored by all she met.  She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and friend; but most of all she was a dedicated servant of the Lord.  Anyone that came in contact with her was left with the indelible impression that Jesus Christ was “number one” in her life.  Apostle Youmans truly lived a life of service, devotion, and commitment to the Lord.  She loved helping others and would go out of her way to ensure the well-being of family, friends, and even complete strangers.  One of her trademark quotes is “Live the life that you testify about.”  Anyone who ever came in contact with her would undoubtedly attest to the fact that she demonstrated the life she preached about.

She is survived by her husband Lennon B. Youmans, Sr. of Ridgeland, SC; three sons: Pastor Lennon B. Youmans, Jr. (Terina)  of Guyton, GA; Minister Lenardo B. Youmans of Cary, NC; Robert Nelson of Ridgeland, SC; one daughter: Tiffany Drake of Ridgeland, SC; Two grandsons: Leshard Youmans and Lennon B. Youmans, III; Two granddaughters: Aerial B. Youmans and Aurianna B. Youmans; two brothers: Allen Nelson of Las Vegas, NV and George Habersham of Hardeeville, SC; Two sisters: Maggie Fraser (Franklin) of Nashville, TN and Delores Goodwyn (Paul) of Montclair, NJ; brother-in-law: Willie Youmans (Evelyn); sister-in-law: Alice Youmans.  Also left to cherish her wonderful memories and lasting legacy is a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, mentees, and spiritual sons and daughters.
