Arthur Robinson, Jr., affectionately known as “Slicks,” “Francis,” “Grandpa,” and “Pops,” was born on December 18, 1937, in Beaufort, South Carolina to the late Mr. Arthur Robinson, Sr. and Mrs. Martha Robinson.
At an early age, Arthur accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, a decision that guided his life’s journey. He was employed for many years and retired from Seaside Farm. Arthur was also a proud member of the Young Men’s Social Club and the Hunting Club.
In June of 1966, Arthur was united in holy matrimony to Mrs. Inez Green. Their union was blessed with 58 years of love and devotion.
Family was the centerpiece of Arthur’s life. He deeply loved his children and grandchildren, and he shared an inseparable bond with his sister, Marie Jenkins. His love and presence will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
On Friday, August 15, 2025, Arthur was called from labor to reward at Resorts at Beaufort. He was preceded in death by his parents; three siblings: Catherine Johnson, Ellen Legree, and Joe Louis Robinson; his daughter, Dianne Browdy; and granddaughter, Kizzy Browdy.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his devoted wife, Mrs. Inez Robinson of St. Helena Island, SC; three daughters, Beverly Green of St. Helena Island, SC, Yvonne (Bernard) Aikens of Burton, SC, and Mary Robinson of Beaufort, SC; his beloved sister, Marie (Marion) Jenkins; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Barbara Dacus of Bluffton, SC; aunt, Mary Robinson; his best friends, Jessie Mae Green, Jimmy Moultrie, Clanrance Chisolm, Lenny Newton, and Ben Freeman; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Arthur will be remembered as husband, loving father and grandfather, cherished brother, and loyal friend. His legacy of love, kindness, and family devotion will live on in all those he touched.
The Management and Staff of Allen Funeral Home respectfully announce the passing of Mr. Arthur Robinson, Jr. 87, of St. Helena Island, SC departed this life on Friday, August 15, 2025 at Resorts at Beaufort in Beaufort, SC. He was the husband of Mrs. Inez Robinson.
Services were completed.
