Benjamin Isaiah White, Sr. was born December 17, 1951 to Deacon Phillip Henry White, Sr. and Mrs. Viola Gregory White in Ridgeland, SC. 
At an early age, Benjamin joined First Euhaw Baptist Church where he served on the Male Chorus and Junior Choir. Benjamin attended and graduated from Ridgeland High School. After high school, he worked with his father at Wood Construction Company. He later worked for Collins Construction until they closed. He became an entrepreneur of White’s Plumbing Service and worked until his health began to fail. 
“Ben” as he was affectionally called by family and friends was a hard worker, well known and respected by all who knew him. His favorite football team was the Los Angeles Rams. 
On Monday, July 25, 2022 at Hilton Head Hospital on Hilton Head Island, SC, surrounded by his loving family, Benjamin was called from labor to reward. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister: Mamie Lou Smith; three brothers: Jerry White, Reverend Harold White, Sr. and Abraham White. He will be sadly missed. 
Benjamin leaves to cherish his unforgettable memories: his daughter: Baseemah Sumpter of Rock Hill, SC; his son: Benjamin I. White, Jr. of Ridgeland, SC; grandchild: Camille Fulton of Rock Hill, SC; sisters: Ruthie Mae White, Betty Johnson, Elouise (Jake) Bolden, Ida (Jacob) Driessien, Elmetta (Herman) Witherspoon all of Ridgeland, SC, Isabelle (Thomas) Smalls of Winston Salem, NC and Reverend Euretta Brown of Hardeeville, SC; brothers: Solomon (Agnes) White, Charles White, Harvey White, Cleve (Cynthia) White, Reverend Elijah (Sandra) White all of Ridgeland, SC, Richard White of Walkertown, NC and Reverend Phillip (Carmen) White of Winston Salem, NC; nieces that were like sisters: Evangelist Maryann Fyall, Cheryl White, Nellie (Robert) Lee, Wilemeria Pinckney and Naomi Heyward; nephews that were like brothers: Jerome (Sarona) White of Hardeeville, SC, Ervin (Lille) White of Fayetteville, NC and Kenneth (Markeia) White of Virginia; four godchildren; two sisters in law: Stephanie White and Jeanette White; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and caring friends; to include a special friend: Kathy Bush of Ridgeland, SC.
