Darryl Seymore

Darryl Seymore, 52, passed away on November 19, 2020, at his residence on Hilton Head Island, SC. We welcome you to provide your thoughts and memories on our Tribute Wall.

Darryl Seymore was born on August 1, 1968, at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx, NY to Robena Diggs and Ernest Proctor. He received his formal education at P.S. 73 elementary school where he met lifelong friend Rob Edwards. Darryl spent his middle school years in Jasper County, where he would win many talent shows with his amazing dancing skills. He would later graduate from high school back in the Bronx. Darryl not only loved dancing but singing and listening to music as well. He was also an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan. While in NY, he worked as a security officer and later houseman in S.C until he fell ill and never quite overcame his illness. He departed from this life on Thursday, November 19, 2020.

Darryl is survived by his daughter, Janya Tillman, Life partner, Nyree Tillman both of Hilton Head Island, SC, mother, Robena Diggs of Columbia, SC, his father, Ernest Proctor of Summerville, SC sisters; Vivian Davis, of Columbia, SC, Renee Seymore of Beaufort, SC, Teresa Seymore of Columbia, SC. BaProctor and Sonia Proctor- Green of Monks Corner, SC, brothers; Ralph Seymore of Hilton Head, SC, Maurice Seymore of Harlem, NY, Craig Proctor of Yemassee, SC, five nieces, 6 nephews, a host of grand nieces and nephews as well as one great-grandniece. Darryl is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and close family friends.

Public viewing will take place on Friday, November 27, 2020, at Allen Funeral Home Complex from 4 PM to 7 PM.

The funeral service will be Saturday, November 25, 2020, at Allen Funeral Home Complex under the canopy at 4 O'clock in the afternoon.
