De'Shannon Coleman Obituary

De’Shannon L. Coleman was born on November 10, 1969, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to the union of Howard Eubanks, Jr. and Julia Mae Sutton.
She graduated from Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and later moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she spent most of her adult life. De’Shannon worked as a surgical technician, where she never met a stranger who didn’t become a friend.  She loved God and it showed toward those she encountered. De’Shannon was beautiful, smart, extremely independent, loving, affectionate, down-to-earth, and FUN. A lover of life, De’Shannon was often depicted as friendly, kind, and a genuine nurturer to her two daughters, whom she loved unconditionally. De’Shannon loved music, especially gospel and reggae. She loved to cook, dance, laugh, but most importantly she loved her family.
De’Shannon touched the lives of many throughout her time here on earth. She was a woman of great faith and prayer. Her life was full of God’s blessing and favor. De’Shannon was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, she was God-fearing and she loved the Lord. She was an active member of Ruth Chapter Eastern Stars.
On January 27, 2017, she was united in Holy Matrimony to George Coleman
On Saturday, June 27, 2020, De’ Shannon L. Coleman entered into enteral rest. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother: Julia Mae Sutton.
Left to cherish the life and beautiful memories of De’Shannon are her husband: George Coleman; two devoted daughters, Julia Ashley Taylor and Briana Nicole Taylor; her father: Howard Eubanks, Jr.; De’ Shannon leaves behind a host of beloved brothers and sisters and cousins and friends whom she considered brothers and sisters – including her special cousins Jona Batista and Natasha Sutton and her devoted friends Frederick Taylor, Pamela Strong, Cheryl Usher, Christina Usher, and Chrispin Stirrup; special friends: Shirley Jenkins, Starr Hays, Chantis Reynolds, and Vanessa Lynard; like a mother, Mrs. Rosa Murray.
De’ Shannon will be deeply missed; still, we celebrate De’Shannon’s transition home to be with the Lord.  Her spirit and life will remain in our hearts forever.
