Ms. Desmond J. Mulligan was born May 19, 1954, to the late Edith Mulligan.
She started her education in Colleton County and completed her education at Franklin K. Lane High School in New York.
“Debbie-Doo” as she was affectionately known by friends and family in the community, she was well known and loved by many.
Desmond served 25 years at Woodhull Medical/Health Hospital as a Coordinating Manager in two departments. For her everyday acts of kindness and generosity, she will be fondly remembered.
Desmond quietly slipped away early Tuesday morning, September 14, 2021.
Desmond leaves to cherish in loving memories her daughter Joyce Mulligan-Scott (Jesse) of St. Helena Island, South Carolina and wonderful son Kasone Clayton of Brooklyn, New York. She leaves two sisters Yvonne Norman of Walterboro, South Carolina, Vivian Chislom (Dion) of Brooklyn, New York and two brothers Jimmy Rivers (Janie) of Hampton, South Carolina and Kelly Mulligan of Jacksonville, Florida; her grandchildren Rashad Johnson and Aaliyah Gethers of Walterboro, South Carolina; a faithful friend Timothy Gethers of Walterboro, South Carolina, two special friends; Revonica Daniels, and Theresa Rodriguez from Orlando, FL; and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins,other relatives and friends.
