Eva Washington,88, Of Yemassee, SC passed away at her residence on Tuesday, November 10, 2020. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home of Ridgeland.
Eva Mae Washington was born on April 11, 1932, in South Carolina, Colleton County to Joe and Sarah Washington. Both preceded her in death. (Five) Siblings Pansion, Mary Jane, Keiser, Elizabeth, and Leroy who also preceded her in death
Eva Mae confessed her belief in Christ at an early age. She later moved to Lake Placid, Florida where she lived for many years before moving to Yemassee, South Carolina.
After her return to Yemassee, SC she united with Jerusalem Baptist Church in Cummings, SC along with her family under the leadership of Pastor Jessie L. Summers where she served faithfully. She was a member on the Deaconess and Mother’s Board.
Eva Mae loved the Lord, her children, and family with her whole heart. Her beautiful smile, love for fishing, Gardening, Crochet, and Quilting were among her many talents and enjoyment in which she will be remembered.
She is survived by her children Pastor John E Washington (Sarah), Hazel Washington, Bertha Obannard (Marion), James Washington, Elias Green, Kenneth Clifton (Vonda), and John Clifton. (Eleven Grandchildren) Valerie (Lewis), Eugene (Keisha), *Nikita, James (Cindy), James-Jay, Dwayne, Marcus, Jamal, Marcus, Jamal, and Alexis. Thirty-nine Great-Grand Children, Eight Great-Great Grand Children. A host of nieces, nephews’ other relatives, and friends.
