Evangelist Lenora Mulligan Obituary

Evangelist Lenora B. Mulligan, 64, of Dale, SC passed away on August 10, 2020, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital, Beaufort SC. She was the wife of Wallace Mulligan of Dale, SC.  A viewing will be Tuesday, August 18, 2020, from 5-7 pm at Allen Funeral Chapel Complex, Ridgeland SC.  Service will be Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at 10 Am at Allen Funeral Home Chapel Complex. 

Lenora Mulligan was born November 28, 1955, to the late parents of Katie Bing Grant and Leroy Gilbert in Queens, New York.  Lenora departed his life on Monday, August 10, 2020, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort, SC.

Lenora was joined in holy matrimony to Wallace Mulligan on September 17, 1975, in Dale, SC. 

Lenora was educated in Beaufort County Public Schools. She graduated from Beaufort High School, in Beaufort, SC in 1972. She received an Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies from North Carolina College of Theology on June 27, 2003.  She received a Graduate of Arts in Biblical Studies from North Carolina College of Theology on June 4, 2004, and she was licensed as an Evangelist on June 17, 2007, at Grays Hill Full Gospel Deliverance Church in Beaufort, SC under the leadership of Pastor Norman Jenkins.

Proceeded in death, her Grandparents who raised her, Evelina Bing Smalls and Benjamin Smalls of Dale, SC, Willie, and Hattie Bennett of Hardeeville, SC, and Parents, Katie Bing Grant, SC and father Leroy Gilbert, sister Julie Bing.

Lenora worked at the Beaufort Clothes Factory where she made clothes for many years.  She loved to sew and enjoyed making garments for her children. More than sewing, Lenora loved the Lord and enjoyed preaching His gospel. When given the opportunity, she was always ready to share a word of encouragement that would enlighten your life with her gracious smile.  She was admired by many with her quiet demeanor and her inviting smile. When you met Lenora, she was sure to make it memorable with her love and presence of the Lord.

Lenora traveled singing with the Dale Spiritualettes for many years and was often called to sing at the funeral, services, and special events. Her love for worship was contagious and would move you off your seat and into the presence of the Lord.

Lenora leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband of forty-four years, Wallace Mulligan,  One son Joey Mulligan, one Daughter Erin (Mark) Gadson, three grand-children, Jovell Coakley, Simone Gadson, and Mark Gadson Jr., one step-granddaughter, Deja Gadson, one great-grandson, Ezra Gadson.  Siblings Hilda Grand, Nathaniel Grant III, Mark Anthony (Pamela) Green of Buffalo NY, Debbie Gilbert of Tuscaloosa, AL, Leroy Dennis of Salamanca, NY, Maria (William) Barron of Lynn, MA, Michael (Constance) Gilbert of Summerville, SC, Martin (Euladia) Gilbert Desoto, TX, Laurie Ann (Alonzo) Thomas of Buffalo, NY, Viola Gilbert of Roanoke Rapids, NC,  Tiffany Grant of Bronx, NY.  Aunts Ida Atkinson, SC, Harriet Bennett, SC, Dora Bennett, NY, Charlie Armstrong, Shaakira Saffir, Mildred Hamilton of LaGrange NC, Uncles Isaiah Bennett, NY, Ross Bennett, NY Benjamin Bennett, NY, Herbert Fields, NY, Rev. William Gillison Jr.(Toni) of Lancaster NY.  Proceed in her death, Mary Fields and Luther Bennett.  A host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins Relatives, and Friends.
