Geraldine Jenkins Obituary

Ms. Geraldine Jenkins, 68, of Beaufort, SC passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Bayview Manor in Beaufort, SC. Services are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home of Beaufort. We welcome you to provide your thoughts and memories on our Tribute Wall.

Ms. Geraldine, 68, was born May 11, 1952, in Beaufort, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth Freeman, stepfather the late Herbert Freeman, Sr. and father the late Joe Daise.
Jeri as she was affectionately called was a 1970 graduate of St. Helena High School on St. Helena Island, South Carolina.
Jeri began her Christian experience at a young age in the Praise House of Capers Plantation and later was baptized and become a member of the Orange Grove Baptist Church.
She worked at Bayview Manor for many years and was very proud of her achievements. She often reminisced of how she cared for and loved her patients.
She loved working out at the gymnasium and often worked with others as an instructor, she would have gone every day if she could.
She loved and supported her entire family. She always wanted her family members to be on the top of everything they did. She love shopping for clothes. And she always had that beautiful smile.
On Wednesday, March 3, 2021, Jeri entered into eternal rest while at the Beaufort Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Beaufort, SC. She embraced her final days, hours, and minutes with courage.
She leaves to cherish her memories: five brothers - Harold (Rosemary) Daise, Floyd Freeman, Conrad (Linda) Freeman, Eric (Nicole) Freeman all of South Carolina, Superintendent Herbert (Debora) Freeman, Jr. of Alabama, and two sisters - Vanessa Freeman Howell of New York, Eureka Freeman Wilson (Reginald) of New Jersey; god-sister, Theresa Cuthbert Jenkins (Nathaniel) of South Carolina; one aunt, Josephine Daise; one uncle, Otis Daise; special aunt, Catherine Austin; Spiritual uncle, Chairman Deacon James P. Small; special friends – Christopher Jenkins, Eleanor “Ell” Howard, Rosa Coleman, Shirley Atkins and Olivia Daise; also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
