Gloria W. Jinkens

Gloria W. Jinkens, 81, of St. Helena Island passed away Friday, October 21, 2022, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Mr. Isacc Jinkens. Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home. We welcome you to provide your thoughts and memories on our tribute wall.

A public viewing will be held Friday, October 28, 2022, at Orange Grove Baptist Church from 9 am until the time of service at 11 AM. There will be no viewing after the eulogy.

Gloria Rosa Wrotten Jinkens was born on September 6,
1941 to Waymond and Emily Wrotten of St. Helena Island, South Carolina.
She received her education from St. Helena High School. To
further her education, she moved to Jersey City and graduated from
the School of Management and Secretarial. After competing school, she
began working for the K-Mart corporation in management for thirty
plus years. She moved back to Beaufort, SC where she completed and
retired her career at K-Mart. Gloria later married Isacc Jinkens of Port
Royal, SC in 2007. She was a member of Orange Grove Baptist Church
where she was a member of the WEC choir, the usher board, pastor
aide and the kitchen committee.
Gloria W. Jinkens passed away Friday, October 21, 2022, at
Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
Left with cherished memories of her is her husband, Isacc
Jinkens; her only son, Carl Blackmon; her three grandchildren, Ty’Ana
Blackmon, Brandon Blackmon and Darynn Blackmon; her four bonus
children, Pam Jinkens, Jannifer, Russel and Patrick; her five sistersin-
law and one brother-in-law, Pastor James Jinkens. She also leaves
behind a host of nieces and nephews, devoted friends; Jane Chisholm
of St. Helena Island, Pollie Robinson of New Jersey and devoted sisterin-
law, Vickey Wrotten.
