James C. Brown,76, of Walterboro, SC passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021, at Colleton Medical Center. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home of Walterboro. We welcome you to provide your thoughts and memories on our Tribute Wall.

James Brown, son of Ethel Johnson and Ephas Brown Sr., was born January 1, 1945, in Walterboro, SC. He attended the public schools of Colleton County. 
James was a faithful member of The Day Forward Ministries in Ritter, SC. Unless he was sick or didn’t have a ride, he never missed church. He loved God and hearing His word. As a result of his generous spirit and pleasant personality, he was loved by many.
James Brown departed this life on Monday, February 1, 2021, at Colleton Medical Center in Waterboro, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother: Herbert Brown.
James leaves to cherish his precious memories his siblings: Lester Brown, Edward Brown, Harriett Thomison, Bishop John Brown (Jeorgeann), Sarah Heyward, Charles Brown, Rev. Calvin Brown (Lisa), Susie Aiken (Josh) all of Walterboro, SC, Fredrick Brown of Orangeburg, SC and Ephas Brown Jr. of Walterboro, SC; two aunts: Ruth Smith and Dorthy Bodison both of Walterboro, SC; to include a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church members.
