James Judge

          Brother James Judge, son of the late Nathaniel and Flossie Judge, was born November 3, 1944, in Dale South Carolina. He departed this earthly life on Friday, June 7, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his family.

          He was educated at the local public school of Beaufort County. After school, James became a seasonal farm worker traveling up and down the interstate to Ohio. Later, James pursued a driving job hauling cement with Burton Cement. Many years later, James became an over the road driver, hauling goods throughout forty-eight states.

        James loved nice cars, tractor trailers and watching movies with his wife and their dogs Blue and Princess. James was a quiet soul that loved to laugh. He was loved by his family.He enjoyed the outside, sitting on the porch and enjoying the sun. Fishing and hunting were also James' favorite hobbies with his friend Willie Mulligan.

       On May 17, 2024, James became a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, where he accepted Christ salvation. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Josephus Judge, Georgia DeVonish, Nathaniel Judge, Jr., Arthur Lee Judge, Henrietta Judge, and Elizabeth Judge-Brown.

        He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Odessa W. Judge, his children, Cleon Wright of Point South, SC, his daughter, Theresa Smalls, of Boles, SC, his son Antonie Williams, of Philadelphia, PA, his son James L. Judge (Tamekia) of Dale, SC, his son Otis Willis, his daughter Odessa W. Robbins, and his son Lewis Morgan all of Dale, SC; one special grandson, Lewis Morgan Ill; 21 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, his siblings: Martha Judge of Stonecrest, GA, Delores Judge of Dale, SC, Marilyn Judge of Stonecrest, GA and Yvonne Judge of Orangeburg, SC; his sister-in-law, Margaret Judge of Queens, NY; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives, to include a special family friend, Sheila Robinson-Legree.

James Judge, 79, of Dale, SC Passed away peacefully and surrounded by love on Friday June 7, 2024 at his residence. He was the Husband of Odessa W. Judge.  Wednesday June 12 ,2024, the family will receive friends from 5- 7 PM  at Allen Funeral Chapel Beaufort, Thursday June 13, 2024 The body will "Lie in repose " from 12 noon until time of service at 1:00 PM  at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Dale SC. Allen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
