Janice Mitchell. 63, of Walterboro, SC, transitioned at Trident Medical Center Thursday June 22, 2023,    Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home. Visitation Thursday June 29  at Allen Funeral Chapel in Walterboro, SC   from 4pm to 6pm. Funeral service will be Friday  June 30 at 1:PM  at The Faith Church, Bell's Highway Walterboro, SC

Apostle Janice Mitchell of Walterboro, South Carolina born on Jan. 12, 1960, was the daughter of  Eddie Lee Johnson and Pearlie Mae Johnson. She was one of five children and was married to Chief Apostle Charles Mitchell of New York City.

 Apostle Mitchell was educated in Walterboro Public School System and attended Denmark Technical College of Beaufort, South Carolina. Apostle Mitchell received a certificate of completion in Cosmetology and studied Nursing at Denmark Technical College. She worked as a nursing assistant in New Jersey and Louisiana. In 2000, she proceeded with the vision that God had given her; the vision to start Heart to Heart Outreach Ministry. Apostle received her initial calling as a minister at the early age of 19 and at that same time she was filled with the Holy Ghost. She began her work with God as an usher at 8 years old. Apostle Mitchell continued to labor before God as he gave her the vision to reach out into the world to inspire and motivate his people. The specific assignment that she received from God was to reach out into the world and help bring unsaved souls to him, heal the sick, and speak life into the lives of others. Apostle Mitchell’s vision has materialized and souls have been saved. God has given her Spiritual Mothers, Brothers, and Sisters to help her continue to spread the Word of God.

She departed this life on June 22, 2023. Preceding her in death was her mother  Pearlie Mae Johnson, her sister Carolyn Youngblood, and her brother Eddie Johnson Jr.
