Jessie Williams, 76, of Hilton Head Island, S.C passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2021. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home of Ridgeland. We welcome you to provide your thoughts and memories on our Tribute Wall.

Jessie Lee Beckett-Williams 76, daughter of the late Rosa Lee Myers Beckett
Gadson and Ben Gadson was born September 18, 1944 in Charleston, SC.
Jessie Lee Williams known as “Big Jessie”, Jetta, Jerry to many was adored
and very much respected by her family and friends. She was a stricked yet loving
Mother, also well known for giving of her love and respect in return. She worked in
hospitality for many years. She became a member of Central Oak Grove Church.
She was proceeded in death by her four brothers; Charles Wesley Beckett,
Luther “Bill” Beckett, Elliott Beckett and Jack Lenard Beckett. One sister Alma
Beckett McDonagh, one grandbaby Zy’Keria A. Williams, One son William Hopkins
Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories: a loving and caring family, her daughters;
Phoebe Desandra Devaughn (Louis) of Savannah, GA, and Shanekia Williams of
Hilton Head Is., Nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two sisters; Phoebe
Baptiste of TX, Claretha Beckett Straub of St. George, SC, four brothers; Eddie
Beckett of Augusta, GA, Andrew Ray Beckett (Suyrene) of Augusta, GA, Arthur
Gadson of Hilton Head Is., Loving aunts Mary Lawyer, Nelle White, and Margie
Baker. One uncle Lee Smalls (Mary), three god kids; Jenny Diana Hunt, Giana Givens
and Angela Bonaparte, host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, other relatives
and caring friends. A very special friend Ms. Barbara Chaplin of Hilton Head Island.

Visitation for Ms. Jessie Williams will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Allen Funeral Home Complex of Ridgeland from 4 PM to 6 PM. A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Jackville Cemetery at 11 O'Clock in the Morning. Committal will follow.
