Joe Singleton, 48, of Poocotaligo, SC, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022. Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home. Mr. Joe Singleton known to many as “JoJo” was
born February 21, 1974 in Beaufort, SC to Alfred Butler
and the Late Barbara “Squeaky” Redden. Jojo received
his formal education from Jasper County Schools but was
a graduate of Kentucky Job Corp, where he received his
certification as an autobody mechanic. He was a talented
artist and enjoyed being a “jack of all trades” that included
restoring cars, homes, and landscaping.
Jojo was a very spiritual person that would give
you the shirt off his back that didn’t mind calling you
up just to pray with you or for you. He was a member of
New Redeemed Church of God in Christ of Jacksonville,
FL under the leadership of Pastor Wayne Milliner. At the
time of his passing, he was attending Mt. Pleasant Baptist
Church in Pocotaligo, under the leadership of Pastor Willa
Young.
On the night of October 25, 2022 he departed this life and entered into his eternal
rest. He was preceded in death by his loving mother Barbara “Squeaky” Redden and his
grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Martha Singleton; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Butler Sr.
and Leola Butler.
He leaves to cherish his memories his daddy Eddie Fields Jr; four children Marquies,
Keyeara Singleton, and Shanqiera (Tyree) Diggs of Bluffton, SC and the young Messiah
Singleton of Yemassee, SC; siblings Katina (Terrance) Frazier, Quanesha (Adrian) Simmons,
Jaliesa (Cameron) Cherry all of Jacksonville FL; Eddie (Toya) and Aaron Fields, Anthony
and Lonnie Ferguson, and Patricia Berkley; the mothers of his children Shontelle Marshall
of Beaufort, SC; Nadia Johnson of Yemassee SC; Two Aunts he held very dearly Rose Nelson
and Mable Hipp and Cousins Travis Hipp, Cornelius Wright and Steven Fields, grandchildren
Noriah and Josiah Wilburn, Jeremy Homes Jr., Za’nia, Madison, Marquies Singleton Jr. and
Tyree Diggs Jr.; Auntie Renee Fields; Uncles Steven Fields, Lawrence Butler, Richard and
Anthony Singleton, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other relatives.
