John Henry Gadson, Sr., 67, of Ridgeland, SC, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home. We welcome you to provide your thoughts and memories on our tribute wall.

John H. Gadson, Sr. was born on September 29, 1955. He was the son of the late William and Minne Lee Gadson. On February 18, 2023 at Beaufort memorial Hospital God dispatched His heavenly angel and John was call from labor to reward.
John graduated in 1974 from Ridgeland High School. Later on in life he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He displayed his love for Christ by singing on the choir at St. Paul Baptist Church and serving elsewhere as needed. John was a truck driver (owner-operator) for thirty-seven years. John enjoyed cooking, singing, being around family and friends, and driving trucks.
In 1980, John met and married the love of his life the late Suzanne R. Gadson. She preceded him in death with one son, Johnathan Roberson. To this union five children were born. After this union he later married the star of his life, Pastor Christine Gadson, and to this union was born a son.
John leaves his memories to be cherished by his loving wife, Pastor Christine Gadson, his four sons; John Henry Gadson, Jr. of Ridgeland, SC, Martin (Kimberly) Roberson of Ridgeland, SC, Kirby R. (Elizabeth) Roberson of Savannah, GA, Craig J. (Letesha) Roberson of Augusta, GA, one daughter Sabrina L. (Edward) Bryan of Beaufort, SC, two brothers; Rev. Samuel L. Gregory of Ridgeland, SC and Junior Gregory of Southern Pine, NC, three sisters; Elizabeth Hodges of Hilton Head, SC, Cynthia Brown of Bronx, NY, and Josie (Leroy) Woods of Philadelphia, PA, thirteen grandchildren, one great grand, step children; Gerald, Antoine, Stephan, Patrick, Shanequa, Shacreeta, Christphus, Christina, Michelle and Imani; sisters in law Alicia (Julius) Shaw, Ben (Rose) Roberson and Ronnie (Susanne) Roberson all of Ridgeland and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
