Johnnie Mae Green, 55, of Walterboro, South Carolina, departed this life on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at Colleton Medical Center, Walterboro SC.  A viewing will be Saturday, August 15, 2020, from 2:30 pm - 3 pm at Allen Funeral Home Chapel, in Walterboro SC.  The funeral service will begin at 3 pm also at the Chapel. 

Johnnie Mae Green, 55, of Walterboro, South Carolina, departed this life on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at Colleton Medical Center.

Johnnie Mae Green was born August 5, 1964, in Augusta, Georgia, a daughter of the late Johnny Johnson from Cottageville, South Carolina, and the late Willie Mae Green from Walterboro, South Carolina.

Johnnie Mae, affectionately known as “Mom Dukes” to her children, attended the schools of Colleton County School District.  She was a softball player for many years, in Walterboro, SC where she inherited the name “Dirt Diver” by many relatives and friends.  Johnnie Mae was also affectionately known as Johnny Maes by her Special friend Joe.

Johnnie Mae, entered in eternal slumber on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at Colleton Medical Center.  In addition to both her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, John Henry Johnson and John Wesley Green from Walterboro, South Carolina.

Johnnie Mae leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter Shanna Gadsden (Keith) of Greenville, SC; two sons Tony Green (Angela Stokes) of Florence, SC and Richard Green (Ciara Francis) of Walterboro, SC; Fifteen grandchildren Ahteona Green (Anthony Brown) of NC, Markaisha McCune, Shadaria Charles, Darius Charles, Bobby Greene Jr, Bobby Greene III, Bobby Greene IV, Bobby Greene V, Alysia Green, Jessica Green, Irish Green, Jennifer Green, Jasmine Green, Ivory Green, and Nevaeh Green; one Great-Grand Amir Brown of NC; one God-son Ronnie “Speedy” Green of Walterboro, SC; a favorite niece Katrina “Black Beauty” Green of Hilton Head, SC; a host of sisters and brother, other relatives, and friends to include a Special Friend of many many years Joseph Michelotti, from New England.
