Julius Garvin,93,  a native of Ridgeland, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023, in Patterson, New Jersey. Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home and Service is scheduled for Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Allen Funeral Home Complex, Ridgeland, SC 29936 at 2:00 pm. Mr. Julius F. Garvin, of Paterson, NJ, was born June 28, 1939. Julius was the fifth child of the late Taft and Annie L. Garvin.

On Thursday, January 12, 2023 Julius was called from Labor to Reward at the home of his daughter Miriam in Clifton, NJ. He is preceded in death by his sisters Louise Frazier, Lorine Stevens, and Margaret Wilborn, brothers; Learnest, Wilson, Harrison and Taft, Jr.

He leaves to cherish daughter Barbara (Herman) Brown, son Robert Ferguson, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, sisters; Lelia (David) Cooke, Gloria T. Spencer, Carnelia Garvin, brothers; McKinley (Carrie) Garvin, Truman Garvin, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
