Katherine Roberta Campbell-Washington, born October 26, 1968 to Harold Mincey & Clarice Brown met her demise in Beaufort, SC on August 10th, 2024.
As a little girl she followed her Grandparents (Apostle J.L. & Lady Mary Campbell) everywhere singing, testifying and dancing as if it was her last time. She definitely served Him in her youth.
“Kat”, was educated in the Job Corps where she successfully obtained her diploma. Around this time, she gave birth to her one & only child (Clinton D. Campbell). She made a few stops as she settled in different places/climates (Cincinnati, Memphis, Beaufort, Charlotte, Chester & ultimately Beaufort). She obtained her CNA license and served as a nurse at Bay View Nursing Home for many years. Being a member of 1109 Prince Street, she served as head of the Nurses Board for many years.
She was a woman of many talents: singing with Dr. Bobby Jones for a short while, a catalyst to showing others how to put their trust in the Lord, an aid to those in need, a supporter, a visionary, a confidant and many other strong characteristics. Throughout her life she battled physical sickness & experienced a multitude of of other obstacles but she had always fought the good fight of FAITH and overcame those hurdles.
“Kat” was seemingly willing to give you her last whether she had it or not in which you’d classify as a selfless act. She loved the Lord with all her heart. Thank you to everyone/person(s) that took time out to be with her in her later years of assisted living needs; David Reed, Ms. Caldwell, Ms. Williams, Bishop Brian White, Rebekah Pyant-Thompson & Husband (Antwone), Sheila Thompson & Family, The Grants, Devin Johnson, Nikedra Johnson, her aids and many others that tended to her.
She leaves behind to LIVE: one son, Clinton Campbell of Lake Wales; two grandchildren, Jada & Jayden. Several siblings, Valari Eaves (Michael) Charlotte, NC, Cornelius Brown (Ceretha) Georgetown, SC, Darrell Mincey (Memphis, TN) Tamara Knox (Memphis, TN), Teairra N. Hunter (Bobby), Memphis, TN, Brandon Rayborn, Memphis, TN, Brittney Johnson, Memphis, TN, Charity Mincey Christian (David), Memphis, TN, Ralpheal Rayborn, Memphis, TN, Christopher Rayborn(Bynetta), Memphis, TN, Jatone Dwight Mincey (Cincinnati, OH) & Andre Mincey (Cincinnati, OH), Mother in Love Bridgette R. Mincey-Crutchfield and a host of Godchildren and a host of longtime friends.
May all thoughts and prayers be with this family. Thursday August 22, 2024 at 1pm at House of God in Beaufort, SC.
