Loraine Simmons

 Mother Loraine Simmons, 95, of Dale, SC passed away at Beaufort Memorial Hospital, on June 30, 2022. Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Dale, SC. 

Mother Loraine Simmons daughter of the late Julius Mulligan and Lula Washington was born April 6, 1927, in Dale, SC, she was one of eleven kids. 
Loraine was married to the late Henry Simmons, Jr. for almost forty-five years until his timely death. Together they raised five children while providing for their household.
Loraine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She was a soft-spoken woman who was nurturing and loving to her family and many others. 
Loraine enjoyed working, baking, gardening and listening to gospel music. She enjoyed the comfort of her family’s laughs and story telling’s.
On Thursday morning June, 30, 2022, our beloved Loraine departed peacefully. She was Preceded in death by five brothers; Harold, Willie, Edward, Pharis, Earl and two sisters; Elenor and Arizona.
Those left to cherish her memories include Ned, Joe, Marion (Jean), Judy, and Janice (Eric), twelve grandchildren and eight  great grandchildren, a sister Alma Mae and a brother Peter, two sisters-in-law Reatha Mae and Dorothy, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
