Luther Kelly, 67, of Beaufort, SC passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2021, at MUSC Medical Center Charleston. Arrangments are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home of Beaufort. We welcome you to provide your thoughts and memories on our tribute wall.
Luther Kelly, son of the Late Bessie and Leroy Kelly was born December 22, 1953, in Beaufort, SC. He received his education in the Beaufort County Public Schools.
He was a very loving and hardworking man. He worked many years for BI-LO and retired in 2018, he also worked at Bray’s Island Plantation for many years. He loved checking in on his adult family, telling jokes and making everyone laugh.
On Wednesday October 27, 2021 at MUSC Medical Center in Charleston, SC he answered the Master’s call, from labor to reward. Luther was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Isaac Kelly and Herbert Lee Jenkins, and a sister Regina Allen.
He leaves to cherish his memories: adopted mother Cleo Stokes, his sisters; Mae Francis (Leroy Jackson) if Queens, NY, Rebecca Kelly of Columbia, SC, Evelyn Singleton, and Mary Ann (Alvin Jenkins) both of Sheldon, SC, Prophetess Princetta (Elder Kenneth Green) of Jacksonville, FL, Jacqueline (James Scott), Barbara Ann Everhart, and Helen Robinson all of Sheldon, SC, his brothers: Abraham (Evangelist Annette Kelly), Joseph Kelly, Abraham Bennett, Shermon Smalls all of Sheldon, SC, Jack (Van Kelly) Fayetteville, NC, special nephew and grand nephews; Henry N. Singleton, Deshun Jenkins, DyQuan Scott, Alvin Jenkins, Jr. and Kamren Wright all of Sheldon, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grandnephews, cousins, and friends.
