Mary Lou Deloach, the daughter of the late Cleveland and Margie Chaneyfield, was born on May 3, 1945 in Ridgeland, SC. Mary received her early education in the Public School of Jasper County. Mary was a member of Burton Deliverance Holiness Church where she served faithfully as an usher until her health started to decline. Mary Lou was a very
friendly, kind hearted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend. She loved her family very much. On Saturday, May 22, 2021 at MUSC in Charleston, SC, God called Mary home to eternal rest from this world.
She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband John Julius Deloach, Sr., one son John Julius Deloach Jr, one grandson Ronald Aiken, two sisters
Arlene Chaneyfield and Martha Ann Johnson, and one brother Cleveland Chaneyfield. Those left to cherish Mary’s memories are her four daughters, Melissa Deloach
Brown, Julia Mae Wright, Minister Jaunita Deloach and Alfreda Mikell; two sons Medicus Deloach Sr (Shaveia) and Allen K Deloach Sr (Latrice); one great-grandchild she raised as a
daughter Arzhanae Battiste; one stepdaughter Lisa Thomas, all of Ridgeland SC; thirty-seven grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; three sisters
Deloris Chaneyfield, Rebecca C. Wright and Shirley Ann Chaneyfield, all of Ridgeland, SC; two sisters-in-law Melissa Gray and Gloria Deloach both of Charlotte, NC, one brother-inlaw
Wesley Deloach, Sr. (Lue Frances) of Ridgeland, SC, one aunt Elouise Chaneyfield of Louisville, GA; four uncles Nelson Chaneyfield (Ela), Robert Lanele Chaneyfield (Melody)
of Charlotte North Carolina, David Matthew Horton of Brooklyn, NY, and John Horton of Ridgeland, SC; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
