Mary Ellen Green, 83, the wife of the late William Green, entered into eternal peace on Monday, January 30, 2023 at her home in Greenpond SC
She was born in the Sheldon Township of Beaufort County, SC, and was the daughter of the late Daniel and Maggie Hipp. She received her education in the Beaufort County School System.
Mary Ellen (Gally) faithfully attended the Shepard’s House Ministries under Pastor Bernard Middleton every Sunday for ten-plus years. She was a very witty person, if she had something to say to you, she would not hesitate about it. She would always  make you laugh, there was never a dull moment!
Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her seven sisters; Liza Hipp, Rena Brown, Annie Mae Mitchell, Elizabeth Johnson, Alice Hipp, Retha Greene, Susie Major, and two brothers; Oliver Hipp and Johnnie Hipp
Mary Ellen (Gally) leaves to cherish loving memories: her children, Leola Green of Connecticut, William Green Jr. of Connecticut, Annabelle Green of Greenpond, SC, Freddie Green of Bronx, NY, Rutha Mae Green of Connecticut, Hilda Mary Green of Sheldon, SC, Brenda Lee Johns of Greenpond, SC, 23 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
