Michelle L. Edwards, 44, of Ridgeland, SC, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at Coastal Carolina Hospital. Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home of Ridgeland. We welcome you to provide your thoughts and memories on our tribute wall. 

Michelle Lashay Williams was born on November 2, 1976, to the Late Mary S. Williams and Mack Williams, Jr. in Miami, Florida.
At an early age, Michelle joined Zion Oak Grove Baptist Church in Ridgeland, SC.
Michelle attended the public schools in Jasper County, South Carolina graduating from Jasper County High School in 1995. Following her dreams to become a Nurse, she enrolled in the ADL Testing and Training Corporation, graduating in October 2005. She worked in the field of nursing for many years at Blooms of Bluffton/The Pines as a Resident Care Coordinator until her health failed.
On June 17, 2015, Michelle was joined in Holy Matrimony to Artemus S. Edwards. This union was blessed with a blended family; woven together by choice, strengthened together by love, tested by everything, each uniquely ours.
Michelle enjoyed and loved caring for her children and spending quality time with her family and friends. She was compassionate, warm, and loving to all and enjoyed cooking for her husband, children and family. Her seafood salad was a hit at every event. Everyone knew that Michelle loved collecting saltshakers, Michael Kors anything and BMWs. She was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and was sure to tease Artie every time the Dallas Cowboys lost a game.
On Sunday, October 3, 2021, Michelle received her wings and peacefully entered the waiting arms of our Lord and Saviour at Coastal Carolina Hospital surrounded by family and friends. She was
preceded in death by her parents, Mack Williams, Jr., Mary S. Williams, and James Edwards; her grandparents Edward Swinton, Sr., and Essie Mae Swinton; and brother Sedarrian Swinton.
Embedded deeply in our hearts, Michelle will live forever. Her precious memories will be treasured by her loving and devoted Husband, Artemus S. Edwards; Daughters, Marshieka (Al) Dupont, Shakeria Dupont, and Tysheria Heyward; Sons, Qashawn Edwards and Jedarrian Dupont; Goddaughter, LaParis Devoe; Mother, Vera Robinson; Brothers, Mack (Pamela) Williams and Gregory Valdez; Sisters, Floretta Williams and Nakia Williams; Aunts, Betty Jenkins, Julia Blake, Betty Moore, Linda Swinton, Debra (Henry) Swinton, Rosa (Larry) Cobb, Lela (Lynwood) Jenkins, Lorene Williams, Elvira (Carl) White, Brenda (John) Johnson, Beverly A. (Earl) Deaton, Patricia Collins, Cathy (Dan) Ellison and Lori Jones; Uncles, James Swinton, Jr., Danny Swinton, Leon Williams, Richard (Beverly} Davis, Ben Floyd, Jr., Matthew Jones, Jr., Anthony (Karen) Jones and Robert McGert; Great Aunts, Mary Jenkins, Novella McKay and Beatrice Gregory; Great Uncles, Franklin Jenkins, Sr.; Godmother, Shelia (Ernest) Walker; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, special friends and co-workers.
