Mother Naomi Singleton, 76, of Ridgeland, SC passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Memorial Health Hospital in Savannah, GA. Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home of Ridgeland. We welcome you to provide your thoughts and memories on our tribute wall.
Mother Naomi Garrett Singleton, was born March 15, 1946 to the late Lillian Rhett Garrett and Patrick Garrett in Ridgeland, SC. She received her of ten siblings. She received her formal education at Jasper County High School. She was a faithful member of Chapel on The Hill Holiness church.
Naomi was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Lovie Singleton Sr. to this union three children were born.
Naomi was a professional house keeper/ nanny for many years before retiring. She enjoyed reading, going to church, flowers, yard selling, and vacationing with her family.
On Wednesday September 22, 2021, Mother Naomi Singleton transitioned to her heavenly home. She was preceded in death by her husband Lovie Singleton Sr., son Kendall Singleton, grandson Joseph L. Taylor, her parents, and seven siblings.
Naomi leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Deborah (Joseph Taylor) of Ridgeland, SC, one son Lovie (Shawanna) Singleton Jr. of Ridgeland, SC, two sisters; Viola Holmes of Manhattan, New York and Annie “Lair” King of Ridgeland, SC. A niece and nephew who was reared in the home with her: Jeanette Garrett Taylor (James) and Willie Garrett, seven grand children Crystal, Junesha, Kimberly and Rebekah Taylor, Jamaisha and K’sheauna Singleton
and Chemir Garrett all of Ridgeland, SC, three great grand children Clarence Witter, Caeden Witter and McKenzie Scriven, two godchildren; Eric Mungin and Andrea “Baby” Habersham, one spiritual daughter, Alicia Shaw(niece). A host of nieces, nephews, relative and friends.
