Mustafa “Stephon” was born in Ridgeland, SC. He was adopted and reared by a loving mother, Laura L. Brown Simmons.
During his early years, He lived in New York, NY and Philadelphia, PA. Upon his return to Bluffton, SC. he attended H.E. McCracken High School.
His love of dogs cana be attested to by the many dogs he nurtured that became his loyal companions. He had a special love for the river and worked diligently as an oysterman for the Bluffton Seafood Company.
He was preceded in death by his mother; biological mother; one sisterand four brothers.
Mustafa’s memories will be cherished by his daughters: Dante and Breanna Madison; grandson: Jordan Simmons; his brothers: Ben Brown of Bronx, New York and James Williams of Los Angeles, CA; his sister: Sadie W. Cannick (Goerge) of Bluffton, SC; a very dear cousin/sister: Lenore Brown of Beaufort, SC; dozens of nieces, nephews, cousins; to include special friend/companion: Patricia Bush of Bluffton, SC; sister in law to include Mattie M. Williams and a host of other relatives and friends.
