Mr. Peter J. Sharpe, 75, of Walterboro, SC passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022, at MUSC Medical Center. Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home and are pending at this time. We welcome you to provide your thoughts and memories on our tribute wall.
A viewing for Mr. Peter Sharpe will be held Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 12 Noon until the time of service at 2 PM (Allen Funeral Chapel Walterboro). The Service will be Thursday, January 12, 2023, @ 2 o'clock in the afternoon. (Allen Funeral Chapel Walterboro).
Peter J. Sharpe the son of the late Lewis and Ethelbell Sharpe, was born January 15, 1947, in Ruffin SC. He was educated in the Colleton County public school system.
Peter Sharpe was a very hard-working man. Early in life he worked in highway and road construction, helping to construct many of the roads traveled on today. After working many years in highway and road construction began his long-term career with SCDOT. Peter enjoyed the pleasures of his job for thirty plus years.
He was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church in Ruffin SC. Mr. Sharpe reunited with wife Christine Sharpe, one daughter Barbara Jones one brother-in-law John Arnold and one brother Eddie Sharpe (Adeline) after a battle with Cancer.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories of life to Shirley Moore Sharpe,two sons Brian O’neal Sharpe and Anthony Williams (Mekecia), and one daughter Theresa Vaught, three step-children; Clyde Moore, Scottie Moore and Sabrina Moore, one sister Lillie Estelle Arnold, Brother Elder Thomas Sharpe Brown (Corrine) brothers in law; Ernest Sanders (Ruby), Randolph Sanders, Joe Sanders (Blyther Mae), John Sanders ( Loutricia), Clarence Moore, Cecil Moore, and Bernard Moore, sisters in law; Annie B. Williams (Rev. Joseph), Dorothy Youmans, Annie Sanders, Gloria Sanders, and Madell Sanders, one Aunt Vera Goff, a host of grands and great grands as well as a host of nieces, nephews, one great niece, and one great nephew.
