Rosa Lee Moultrie- Jones, 78, Native of St. Helena Island passed away Friday, May 14, 2021, at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ. Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home of Beaufort. We welcome you to provide your thoughts and memories on our tribute wall.
Rose was born on St. Helena Island, SC. She later moved to Jersey City, NJ., which would become her home. Rose became a member of St. John Baptist Church. She was employed by RCA as a telecommunications operator. She worked with customers all over the world until she retired. After staying at home a few years, she became bored and decided to start Rose Creations. A Boutique that specializes in beautiful black art. When the Covid-19
pandemic terrorized our World she began using part of her boutique as a food bank to make sure those in need had access to food.
She was a member of the NAACP and was well known and loved in and out of her community. She was on a first name basis with Steven Fulop, the Mayor of Jersey City. The loss of Rose Creations will leave a void in the neighborhood.
She leaves behind three sisters to cherish her memory. Johnnie Mae Moultrie, Nellie (Frank) Howard and Delores Gaskins. Also left, one niece Michelle Hope Moultrie. One nephew, Johnnie Gaskins Jr. She also leaves a host of cousins and many loving friends.
