Mrs. Rosalyn George 77, daughter of late Charlie and Ophelia Rogers, was born on May 21, 1946 in Beaufort, SC.
Rosalyn was a very ambitious woman with many different professions. Her most memorable profession being in housekeeping in the Beaufort County area. Rosalyn was a social butterfly! She enjoyed singing and dancing to Beyonce and Prince, cooking and feeding the neighborhood kids, and talking amongst family.
She departed this life on July 7, 2023. She spent her last years of life in Charlotte, North Carolina with her adoring grandchildren, Rodney Rogers and Danyelle Bethea. Proceeding her in death were both of her parents as well as her siblings Emily Simmons, George Rogers and Charles Rogers.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her five children: Alton Rogers (Cheryl), NaTarsha Rogers-Bell (Issac), Latrivette Obia (Eric), Chantee George, and Shekina Poole; her surviving siblings: Laura Rogers and Nadine Rogers; , and a host of other relatives including many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Because of her caring spirit, she will also be affectionately remembered by many others as “Ma Dawg”.
Mrs. Rosalyn George, 77, of Beaufort, SC passed away July 7, 2023 in Charlotte, NC. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Friday, July 14, 2023, at Allen Funeral Home Chapel in Beaufort, SC. Funeral services will be held 10 am also at Allen Funeral Home Chapel in Beaufort. Burial will follow in Sixteen Gate Cemetery in Beaufort, SC. Allen Funeral Home of Beaufort in charge of funeral arrangement.
