Sandra Padilla, 64, of Bluffton, SC passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at The Oaks of Beaufort. She was the wife of Mr. James Padilla, mother of Ms. Brittany Padilla- Smith and Antonio Padilla. Sandra Padilla was preceded in death by her son James Padilla Jr. Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home of Ridgeland. We welcome you to provide your thoughts and memories on our tribute wall.
Sandra Padilla was God’s greatest gift to creation and especially to her husband and family. She was born to the late Joe L. Green, Sr and Doris Gaston Green on November 3rd, 1957, in Bluffton, SC where she was raised and educated. Sandra graduated from H.E. McCracken High School on May 27th, 1976. She attended Benedict College where she studied business.
She later relocated to Beaufort, SC while still working as a manager at Harbor Town on Hilton Head Island, SC. In the summer of 1982, she met the love of her life James “Jimmy” Padilla and on November 2nd of that same year just three months later they were happily married and bonded together for the next 39 years. During this time Sandra & James traveled to various locations around the world due to James’s career.
In starting this new life with James, Sandra decided to commit as a full-time wife and mother to her family. Sandra was very big on family values. She was not only the foundation for her immediate family but also her extended one as well. Often making scarifies for her three beautiful children all while remaining faithful and catering to her husband. Sandra or mami as she was often referred to by Jimmy, had a very unique bond, the type that’s only formed once in a lifetime. Anyone that came around them could feel the love these two shared. Their favorite thing to do together was dance! They were known to cut up a rug together.
During multiple times while James was deployed Sandra immediately stepped in assuming both roles over a period of seven to nine months and sometimes a year. Sandra’s unwavering dedication serves as an example of her strong individual character.
Sandra was a God-fearing woman. At her lowest point she remained faithful. Her determination and will to fight was clearly evident even in her final days. Truly resilient, a powerful and phenomenal woman.
