Shakitha Dessasure Leonard, 41, of Ridgeland, SC passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022. Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home and are pending at this time. We welcome you to provide your thoughts and memories on our tribute wall.

Shakithia LaShell Dessasure Leonard, 41, was born June 28, 1980, to the late Jason Dessasure and Ella Grant Dessasure. Shakithia also known as Keasha or Big Breezy was educated in the Jasper County School District where she graduated class of 1999. She was a proud member of JROTC where she was instilled with the values of Honor, Respect, and Selfless Service. At an early age, Keasha gave her life to Christ where she was baptized at First Euhaw Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board. Keasha was very well known and loved by her community. She had many roles, but the one she upheld with the highest honor was mother. Keasha had a heart of pure gold and didn’t mind helping those in need. Breezy spent most of her days listening to Lee Williams and the Spiritual QC’s, counseling and giving advice, making everyone laugh with her jokes and her “kind” words. Keasha was dedicated to helping all the kids she encountered, giving her the title of extended Mom. She was a friend, confidant, bus driver, mentor, shelter, and now Hero. Keasha or Big Breezy was employed by BiLo for several years where she held numerous positions throughout her tenure. Keasha’s dedication really shined through when she decided to quit working and become a fulltime caregiver for her father, Jason Dessasure. On March 19, 2022, Keasha transitioned to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is preceded in death with her father, Jason Dessasure, high school sweetheart, Vernon Green, Sr., devoted boyfriend, Albert Williams, godparents, Walter and Marie Wideman, extended father Albert Mitchell.
