A Time to Be Born: Miss Shaniqua Shanice Camacho, daughter of Ericka Driessen-Cannick and Miguel Camacho was born June 9, 1993 in Beaufort, South Carolina.
A Time to Build: Shaniqua was educated in the Beaufort County School System. She attended Shell Point Elementary, Robert Smalls Middle, and graduated from Battery Creek High in 2011. She also attended Berkmar Middle School in Atlanta, GA. She spent a year studying at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg. Shaniqua was a free spirit, who took a break to enjoy life before her recent enrollment at Everest University in Atlanta, Georgia.
A Time to Serve: At an early age, she joined Saint Luke Baptist Church, where she was an active member of The Renty Kitty, Jr. Choir.
A Time to Enjoy: Shaniqua was a very personable young lady, who had a zest for life. This, among her very many attributes garnered her many good friends. She enjoyed hanging out with her friends in her spare time. Shaniqua also loved dancing. She was a student of the Beaufort Academy of Dance, where she was trained in Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop and Jazz. Shaniqua was not camera shy; and while in Atlanta, she also attended Barbizon Modeling School. One of her favorite past times was shopping, where she indulged herself with designer purses.
A Time to Labor: Shaniqua was employed by Huddle House and Abercrombie and Fitch, in a desire to maintain her high standards of personal hygiene for her hair, nails, and transportation (gas).
A Time to Die: On Monday, May 19, 2014 in Atlanta, Georgia, she was called “Home”.
A Time to Mourn: Shaniqua leaves behind her loving parents: mother, Ericka Driessen-(Eric) Cannick of Atlanta, GA; father, Miguel (Toya) Camacho, of Savannah, GA; grandmother, Shirley Camacho-Keith; step-grandfather, Edward Keith, both of Beaufort, SC, who were very devoted to her; her paternal grandfather, Miguel Camacho of Pensacola, FL; her maternal grandmothers, Esther Driessen of Atlanta, GA, and Ethel Wilson of Bluffton, SC; maternal grandfathers, James R. Wilson, Jr. of Bluffton, SC, and Edward Allen of Hilton Head Island, SC; paternal great-grandmother, Hannah B. Nelson of Port Royal, SC; maternal great-grandfather Jacob Driessen, Sr. of Hilton Head Island, SC; her sister, Jasmine Camacho of Bluffton, SC; brothers, Master Miguel Camacho of Savannah, GA, DeVante Cannick of Bluffton, SC, and Omega Turner of Hardeeville, SC; her adorable nephews, Masters Treyvon and Micha Savage of Bluffton, SC. godparents, James and Antoinette Pinckney of Bluffton, SC; her suitor, Kashawn Lights; her best friends forever (BFFs) of Beaufort, SC, Cierra James and Iris Simmons; 10 aunts, 5 uncles; and an abundance of adoring cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
