Shirley Ann Singleton

Sister Shirley Ann Singleton, 69, of Hilton Head Island, SC, passed away January 31, 2024 at Carolines Cottage Ridgeland, SC. Allen Funeral Home of Ridgeland, SC are in charge. 

Shirley Ann Singleton was born in Savannah, Georgia on September 6, 1954, to Lucille Singleton and Bennett Simmons. It was on the 31st day of January 2024 when Shirley was called to eternal rest. 

Shirley attended H.E. McCracken High School in Bluffton, SC. She also attended Savannah Technical College in Savannah, GA. After many dedicated years in the work force, she became a stay at home mom devoted to raising her four children and grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.

Shirley enjoyed mind jogging puzzle books, various medical shows and sharing loving conversations with her siblings. Shirley was the life, security and force of the party. She will be truly missed by her family. 

Surviving her is her long life partner, Loney C. Polite; children: Denardi Singleton, Dwight Singleton (Sharmaine), Johnny Polite (Shakiria), Jesamen Bush (Kenneth); grandchildren: Ja’Cori Byerson, Ja’Quan Singleton, Jaiden Singleton, Lundin Polite, Jamari Polite, Kenneth “KJ” Bush II, Kennedi Bush, Sayani Polite, Ayla Singleton; sisters Shelia Singleton, Jeanna Bailey; brothers Ray Singleton (Melissa), Ronnie Walters (Barbara), Joseph Walters (Elesea) along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many loving friends.
