Thomas L Garvin

Mr. Thomas L. Garvin, 69, of Ridgeland SC, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2020, at Bayview Manor Nursing Home, Beaufort SC. A viewing will be held from 5 pm to 7 pm, Wednesday, August 05, 2020, at the Allen Funeral Home Chapel Complex, of Ridgeland SC. Funeral Services will be 2 pm, Thursday, August 06, 2020, at Allen Funeral Home Chapel Complex of Ridgeland, SC; Burial will be at Garvin Cemetery. 

Thomas was the 11th child of the late Taft & Annie Garvin. He attended Ridgeland High School, where he graduated and went on to the National Guard.  After the National Guard, he became an airplane mechanic.
He is preceded in death by a son Taj L. Garvin, his sisters, Lorine Stevens, Louise Garvin Frasier, his brothers,  Taft Jr., Lee Ernest Wilson & Harrison Garvin.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Tremaine & Richard Garvin. Lovings sisters, Gloria T. Spencer Paterson, NJ, Lelia (David) Cooke Teaneck, NJ, Carnelia Garvin Hackensack, NJ & Margaret Wilborn Arlington, VA. Loving Brothers McKinley (Carrie) Garvin Hackensack, NJ, Truman Garvin Hackensack, NJ & Julius Garvin Paterson NJ. Also his special nieces, Crystal L. Spencer-Pearson (Omar) Charlotte, NC, Patricia Garvin Fayetteville, NC, Eugenia Rochester Hackensack, NJ & Sorona Jenkins (Thomas) Hardeeville, SC.  Aunt Clywretha Green (Major) Charleston SC. Brother in Law, William Stevens,  A Host of Nieces and Nephews and grandchildren.

Please keep in mind that due to the novel virus COVID-19, State and Gov. officials have mandated social distancing. At this time all gatherings at Allen Funeral Home will be limited to thirty (30) guests; This includes Funeral Services, Visitations/wakes, and Arrangement meetings as per the State.  Facial covering (mask) is required upon arriving at our facility and during all services provided by Allen Funeral.
