Mr. Tyrone Melancon, 47, a native of Burton, SC, and the son of Sandra Brown-Melancon and Arnold Melancon, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020, at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern, NC. Visitation is Friday, October 09, 2020, from 5 - 7 pm at Allen Funeral Home in Beaufort, SC. Service will be held Saturday, October 10, 2020, at Allen Funeral Home Chapel in Beaufort, SC at 12 PM. Allen Funeral Home Beaufort, SC is in charge.
Tyrone L. Melancon, son of Arnold and Sandra Melancon, was born May 7, 1973, in Sarasota, Fla. Tyrone came to Beaufort, SC with mother as a newborn child.
Tyrone was a graduate of Battery Creek High School in Beaufort, SC. In 1991, Tyrone won the SC State Championship in Wrestling, Who’s Who in Sports as one of the nation’s outstanding athletes in the High School Division, and the All Regions Award in Wrestling.
Tyrone loved to cook and enjoyed being around family and friends. He was always a positive, understanding, and smiling person, who knew how to comfort those that needed comforting. He was a landscaper at J&S Landscaping Design in Newport, NC.
Tyrone departed his earthly life on Monday, September 21, 2020, in Havelock, NC. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Lillian Heyward of Beaufort, SC; grandfather, Benjamin Heyward of Beaufort, SC; grandmother Lucy B. Melancon and grandfather Joseph Melancon, both of Compton, Louisiana.
Tyrone leaves to cherish his memories, his son Tyrone Elijah Melancon and daughter Elliana Noel Melancon of Havelock, NC; Companion and mother of his children, Tara Cartwright of Havelock, NC; his mother, Sandra Melancon of Beaufort, SC; his father Arnold Melancon of Compton, Louisiana; sister Latoya Wing; two nieces, Tamijai and Janashia Wing; nephew Terrance Wing Jr. all of Jacksonville, FLA; Uncles Thomas (Ginger) Bolden of Beaufort, SC, Nathaniel ( Geneva) Deveaux of Beaufort, SC, Willie (Nancy) Deveaux of Sheldon, SC, Robert (Gigi) Brown of Arlington, Texas, Charles (Wilma) Melancon, Gregory Melancon, both of Compton, LA; his aunt Mary Melancon of Compton, California; a host of other relative and friends.
