Mrs.Victoria Washington 83, of St Helena Island, SC passed away at Beaufort Memorial Hospital on September 27, 2021. Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Funeral Home of Ridgeland. We welcome you to provide your thoughts and memories on our tribute wall.

Victoria “Vick” Washington, the daughter of the late Celia Singleton and Willie Cook. She was born April 6, 1938 on St. Helena Island, South Carolina. She received her formal education at Beaufort County School System. She worked for the Beaufort County School district as a Cafeteria Worker until her retirement. She was a faithful member of First African Baptist Church, St. Helena Island; where she was an active member of the usher board until her health started failing. Her hobbies were cooking, babysitting and going to church.
On September 27, 2021, she answered the masters call from Beaufort Memorial Hospital and went home to be with the Lord.
She was preceded in death, by her parents Celia Singleton, Willie Cook, three of her children (Samuel Washington, Ethel Washington and Fred Washington), and her brothers (Frank Washington, Josie Washington, Jessie Washington, and Benjamin Cook).
She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Mary Lou Holmes and her husband Soloman Holmes, Jr., John Lee Washington, Josephus Washington and his wife Vivian, Barbara Ann Beasley and her husband Julius Beasley, and Edward Germaine Washington and his wife Rumelle; one sister; Elizabeth Singleton, her aunt Essie Mae Jenkins and her husband Henry Jenkins, 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and two godchildren, Virginia Camp and her husband Jeffery, and Marion Rodney Jenkins To include those that were very special to her: Solomon Holmes Jr., Francina Edwards and her husabnd Cliff, Mattie Washington, Vivian Chisolm, Essie Holmes, The Middleton Family, The Washington Family, The Jenkins Family, the Charleston S.C family, her First African Baptist Church Family, a host of other relatives, friends, nieces, nephews and cousins.
